WECC promotes the playing of chess by elementary students and above in many ways. We help start chess clubs in local elementary and middle schools by donating chess equipment to those programs. We encourage those students to refine their skills by organizing local chess tournaments and by sponsoring summer chess camps. We run this website and companion facebook page to keep the community informed.
There are a number of ways to help us continue this valuable service to the community. One way is to join our board and help shape the way we provide these services. Another is to volunteer at one of the local tournaments. If these options are not for you, but you still want to help out, please consider a donation to our organization.
